BCS MultiNOVA 2 for Cartonnages du Sud Quest
Specialists in manufacturing boxes for the food industry, Cartonnnages du Sud Ouest (CSO) of Niort, France, are expanding their production by offering a fast order turn-around of crash lock boxes, and by enlarging their range of more standard corrugated boxes.
To cope with anticipated demand, a versatile folder/gluer able to handle the increased volumes was identified and CSO turned to British Converting Solutions Ltd of Leighton Buzzard, UK and specifically their MULTINOVA 2.
With typical set times are only 5 minutes for straight line and 10-15 minutes for more complex multi-point crash-lock boxes, the MULTINOVA 2 with its quick set times and run speeds perfectly fits the needs of CSO.
With a particular need to close a Fefco 0713 crash-lock box in 'B'flute, but with an usual height of 1140mm which previously was closed using holt-melt adhesive, the MULTINOVA 2 automatically applies cold pva adhesive which has ensured a more cost effective and consistent method of closing this challenging box style
The MULTINOVA 2 is a popular machine with box plants large or small, looking for a quick set machine to either compliment other high speed machines or to automate manual gluing operations.
The Durand family who own and run CSO are said to be delighted with their new purchase, and report that it exceeds their expectations.
